3D Printers Need Maintenance

3D printing is a process of making solid three dimensional objects from a digital file. Layers of material are built up until the object is created. 3D printing enables you to produce complex shapes using less material than traditional manufacturing methods.
A 3D printer is a complex piece of hardware and like any machine, it needs maintenance. For example, the printer contains lots of moving parts that need to be lubricated properly. The filament nozzle is prone to getting clogged and it will need to be cleaned regularly. Debris tends to build up on the extruder gear and getting to this can require quite a bit of dismantling. The firmware of the machine may need to updated periodically. As you can see, there is a lot of potential for a machine to break down, and your printer never breaks down at a good time!

Clearly it makes sense to have a maintenance and repair technician that you can turn to to keep your machine running well. I have the experience and training necessary to carry out a good job. Don’t wait until your machine breaks down, get in touch with me and I can suggest an affordable maintenance programme. – Julian Rutzen, Owner and Operator, 3D Printing Support NI
